Saw it last night at BJ....impressed and I was not at first!

DrunkPenguin 01-20-2013 10:47 AM

10!! I have watched that BJ auction video 10 times this morning. At the end when rolling down the ramp! OMG!! Not sure I can hold out until the vert but I typically don't like to buy year one cars. Dilemma ...

Boy when it's rolling down ramp

Based on what I see on the internet and not in person - 9. When we find out the performance - possibly 11. :woohoo:

I rate the C6 a 9 or 10. And I rate the C7 about the same, assuming it drives & performs as expected.

That would seem logical. I mean how many decades has the front & rear of the 911 remained basically the same?

Though the Camaroesque rear doesn't annoy me, it clearly bothers a ton of potential buyers, while it attracts probably none. So why does GM do it?

A 7.5 until I see it person

Assuming the question in the OP was only about styling

I'd give it a 3 or a 4. The silhouette is fine, but there are way too many over-done, visually jarring details. Also, the rear end is just horrible...and I say that in spite of the fact that I don't care about the shape of the tail lights.

SlickShoes 01-20-2013 12:20 PM

9.5 :)

I'd give it a 7.

The interior looks great so I would give it a 9 for interior looks. But i need to sit in it to feel if it is as good as it looks.

The exterior I am still back and forth on. But i see more positives vs. negatives.

The C7 may even be the first Corvette I buy new in say in the 2016 or 2017 model years.

Snorman 01-20-2013 02:08 PM

10
Would have liked to see an 8-speed auto and would like to see 475 hp out of the base LT1.

10!

They boys at Chevy hit it out of the park with this one. This is far and away the best looking Corvette ever built and it looks like the car will perform far better than any of its predecessors.

This car will definitely be on my list.

musclecar6 01-20-2013 03:13 PM

Coincidentally, the reaction to the C7 is the same as it was when the C6 came out. Most think it's great, with some quibbling over things like not having round tail lites. It's a knockout car including the tail lites.
