Keep having to remind my self that there are only 2 days left. I think this car is going to surprise a lot of people on this forum. To the point they will want to buy despite what they've said on here.

That fits right in with what you said earlier about a more narrow C7 in order to be more competitive for the overseas market.

Didn't Christopher Columbus say that long before the C7 was designed.

I guess they will be cranking up the line to produce right hand drive versions for England, Japan and Australia:cheers:

I think the new focus will be on handling, driver feel, and lap times. As oppose to out and out acceleration. '

Honestly I think w/o AWD and a major shift of the weight to the rear, we will have to concede the acceleration race. But like the ZR1 the C7 will kill the comp in handling and lap times.

My understanding is that they are holding off on the release of the mag until after Sunday.

Maybe that ex-Apple employee who left the iPhone4 in a restaurant is now a janitor....and maybe he's cleaning the Road and Track offices....well, you get where I'm going....

There really is no overseas market. The Corvette will never sell well in Europe, even if they sell a right-hand-drive version. No one there wants a Corvette.

Well that settles it. The C7 rear looks nothing like the renderings. It closely resembles a huge six-ring notepad. :D

I thought the stated mission was to "change us" and help us "find new roads". But it seems marketing didn't quite capture their chief's boldness.

Trust me. Overseas is out and always will be. Nearly every European country are going to have high import fees and taxes applied to the Corvette, just like they always have. A C6 with all the fees is Porsche 911 and Aston DB9 money over there.

Here, we love the Corvette because you can't buy more car for the money. There, it's the same amount of money as everything else. Outside of price, cars sell in Europe based upon exclusivity. The Corvette isn't a household name like it is here, no one there sees it as anything special.
