Change Radiator Support 1973

What will I encounter changing radiator and support on 1973 Corvette

Tons of work and sore back !

the Radiator support holds up the front of the car.
It will be difficult and the front clip, will need to be supported,
while removing this.

I did the one in my 73 350 car awhile ago.

Not too bad, simply put (Current time constraint prohibits listing details)
Remove the hood, radiator hoses, and any brackets / clips / ground wires attached to the radiator and support.
Cooling fan comes out along with the shroud.
I left the radiator attached to the support and removed the 6 bolts to release the assembly and pulled the whole thing out as one unit.

One thing that did irritate me was the replacement unit that I received, had slight differences. It was missing the upper fan shroud support holes. I went with Dewitt’s and electric fan combo so it did not affect me. I did save the original unit in case I want to repair it

Good luck

I have a 73 350 with a TH400 and replaced the radiator and support when rebuilding the motor. It's pretty much what BlowAMouse says, you'll have to take the fan and the shroud off and it is easier to remove the radiator and support together. Remember that the transmission coolant lines need to be disconnected and moved away as well and be careful of the forward wiring harness which goes through a passage on the passenger side. Also make sure you mark the alignment of the hood brackets before you remove the hood to make it easier when you reassemble.

I was under the car last night, so do not forget the two big bolts underneath! and that little round support bar.
