Very nice! I think this is the first time I've seen complete carbon fiber mirrors. If you need someone to test them I'll volunteer. :D

SinisterC6 01-08-2013 09:40 PM

Looks great what's the weight difference?

Joezone914 01-08-2013 10:58 PM

The pic above is probably my car at APR. As for the weight, I'm not sure they weighed them. I'm sure it's minimal as most of the weight is the mechanical motor and mirror not the shell. The fit & finish is amazing. You need to be aware they are one piece and not folding.

Those are pretty darn great!

gp56 01-09-2013 07:19 AM

Do they have the XM antennas built in?

jr3 01-09-2013 07:22 AM

Looks good.

Joezone914 01-09-2013 11:50 AM

Unless anything has changed they are just the shell. You transfer your XM, motor and mirror over to it. They were not doing cores you got to keep you old shells to put back to stock. Contact Southern Car Parts or APR to verify.

They look great, how much will they cost.

That is correct....you transfer all the inner workings over to the new mirror housing.

Yes sir.....this is for the pair and is a complete Mirror housing, not an overlay. Certainly not cheap....

Honestly, when APR first told me about them last October, I expected them to be around 1200 bucks. If you really think about it, 885 for two is not that bad considering the complexity to make them.

Call your local chevy dealer and price out OEM Non CF mirror shells.

Larry/car 01-09-2013 01:14 PM

On some cars, darker colors they will look ok, lighter not so good. At that price I'm perfectly happy with the OEM mirrors.

Installation instructions are here....

:withstupid: That's only $442.50 each! :hide:

Looked at instructions, seems that the cores have to be taken apart at the swivel base and will not be able to swivel if you decided to restore to stock, so getting to keep your core shells is not really that big of a benefit.
