Buying 2013 GS from NH dealer?

I am looking at the cars the NH dealer has offering 17% off MSRP on 2013 GS. I appreciate all the information I have learned from reading all your posts and think I know what I want now - THANK YOU ALL!

I am wondering about any special concerns I should have about this transaction which, given the season, will involve a delivery from NH to FL. Anyone with experience with this situation?

If you're referring to MacMulkin, suggest you search for threads here about CF members' experiences with the dealer...
lots of positive comments have been made. G-L !

Bought from Tommy, Jr. and did museum delivery. Flawless in every way.

MacMulkin will take good care of you ...

I bought a new 2011 GS from them and drove it down to Florida.

You pay no tax or any other fees when you buy the car from MacMulkin in NH.

MacMulkin will issue you a free NH temp tag and then when you get the car to Florida, you will obviously have to pay Florida sales tax, title fee and license fee.

My experience exactly.

Buy it from Tommy Jr., find out how many miles must be on it to register as used and, take the long way home !

Lots of people have purchased new Corvettes at dealerships 1000+ miles away and had them shipped home. The dealership you are dealing with has done it many times. Just don't cheap out on the carrier that will ship your car. Pay the few extra dollars for a top-notch, fully enclosed transport company (like Intercity, etc). They probably have a carrier they would recommend to you.

YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED IN TOMMY THOMSON:thumbs:DO NOT EVEN WORRY ABOUT IT.

I bought my 2012 from Tommy and had it shipped to my house in Woodstock by Intercity. Would I do it again, you can bet on it.

MacMulkin is very good. However, they are not the only high volume Corvette dealer with outstanding discounts. Mike Furman @ Criswell Chevy in Maryland is equally as good, with an added benefit. Mike Furman has a relationship with the Bowling Green Plant, that to the best of my knowledge no other dealer has, including Kerbeck.

That added benefit is a a huge plus, IMO.

How do I know this, I placed a factory order with Mike Furman. I have experienced the benefit of his discounts, and relationship with BG.

Our Corvette build was complete Friday, Jan. 4. Now Shipping/Enroute, anticipated delivery Jan. 11th. :woohoo::thumbs:

Bought my 2010 GS from Tommy at Mac Mulkin and they have my highest recommendation and facility. They are 200mi away from my home and I would not buy from any other dealer. Good luck:thumbs:

I just bought mine from Tommy Jr and couldn't be happier. One thing I really like is at MacMulkin all the Vettes are indoors, and by my guess there had to be 50 of them in stock. Walking through that dealership and seeing all of them is better than most car shows. Got wood?....grin

:iagree: Same here, drove it home with a free NH temp. plate provided by Tommy. No BS extra costs some dealers like to add to your quoted price like "advertising cost", the price quoted is the price you pay.

Eppieguy 01-08-2013 11:44 AM

You guys are all assuming it's from Tommy, OP said NH dealer, Many Chevy dealers in NH.

Just Sayin'

SenseiDave 01-08-2013 11:58 AM

No, it is MacMulken where I am looking. Lots of great advice. It makes me much more comfortable in pursuing this deal. Thanks!
