Time to sell the C5 Z06 and my daughter doesn't need a college education, right!?!

How are all you chrome haters going to deal with the trim on the side coves? L.O.L.

Black chrome. Or paint it to black. Or paint it to match the body. Or see what the aftermarket offers.

I'm loving the new vette! Getting better and better

I knew none of the renderings would truly capture the shape of of the C7. Even this simple line drawing, with accurate proportions, hints at the amazing car we're less than a month away from salivating over.

The new render that shows the hood vents looks like it may be a styling cue from the past...

I'm liking that angle ALOT. :yesnod:

Not willing to sell my FRC to get one, but I think I'll be holding off on that C6z I was looking at getting at the middle of 2013.

We need to see the "Dealer Service Manual" on servicing the rear tail lights! This will separate the men from the boys. Our best (or worst) imaginations will come true.

On one of the keeksCAD it showed the fender vent as a separate panel that could be changed out. It would be very easy to make it much more subdued if need be.

its not cool when a 2013 car looks like a ferrari that was produced 8 years ago or smth.. so i hope in person it does not look like 8years old ferrari. Do u understand that u **********?

Well it kinda does resemble the 599 GTO , but equally as well the Ferrari California which was produced in 2008 if I'm not mistaken. So you prolly have the influence of a 599 along with the Califonia mixed with classic 68-71 vette styling cues.

You can also wander off into F12 territory as well only that the front would have a more pointed front from best guestimates. I believe this will be a very contemporary look for the vette.

We'll see - what we will see.

A year and a half ago I talked to Tadge Juechter about the lack of a decent place to mount a front plate on a C6 and he mentioned they came up with a good sollution for the C7 that would both look good and still allow for the huge air intake opening they wanted for the race cars (they didn't want the split opening as the C5 has). I think what we are looking at in this drawing is a removable part mounted in the opening. So if you need it for a plate, leave it in, otherwise, take it out

Sonny

Glad to hear this. Based on the drawing, it looks good, and it doesn't look like permanent holes have to be drilled into the bumper. I think it always looks better if the plate is inset, too, rather that tacked onto the outside of the bumper.

They are really starting to entice me to upgrade my C5 to a C7.

Michael
