Race seats for C6 ZR1 2011
What is the best race seat we can put in a C6 ZR1 ?
Thankyou Clément |

Caravaggios are a very nice option. Had them in my Z06 and now in my ZR1

The first seats John shows are the best race option, but the Daytonas, shown second, are much more comfortable for dual use.

The first one pictured look perfect. What shell are they based on? Will the factory 3 point harness thread though the side of the seat so its not floating above your lap?

I have the race seats in my 09 # 56 Katech Z06 and its the best $ i have spent!!!!! Quality is second to none:thumbs: They look as though they came from the factory. AND that you cannot beat......

I looked up the Carvaggio Full Leather Race Seat in their PDF Sales Brochure but the Price Seems to be missing a digit ($1, 95). Could you pm me a price for the Alcantara version?
Seems like an attractive option since they are a direct replacement for the factory seat working on the stock seat rail. Im sure fixed brackets are much safer, but the stock rails allow for electronic movement, etc. If you had to use a 6-point harness, what are the options for attaching the bottom two belts that come up through your legs without connecting it to a fixed bracket? |
If you're going to use a 5 or 6 point harness for track events you need seats that have belt routing holes in them so the lap belts fit snugly over your lap when tightened. Belts that come over the front and or sides of the seats should not pass a tech inspection at a track event.
I have Suzuka Pro Fits in my Wife's car on fixed Hard Bar mounts. The seats are FIA approved and require no seat back brace. They have the provisions for all belts and I route the lap belts through the side holes under my thighs when I am sitting and then up in between my legs to connect to the cam lock. I used Team Tech harnesses with the 2" Hans shoulder strap provision. The shoulder straps hang from a Brey Krause harness bar. Install was simple and they fit great. |
^Good point, I didn't even noticed the missing lap belt holes.
