Color choice ! Here we go again!
I'm a shopper when it come to buying cars! I look for the best deal
then worry about the color. Happened to me on my Z06. So I have been shopping ZR1. Best deal I have seen is not a prefered color for me. But I have an appointment in the am to test drive the car anyway. |
These Z cars (both) are a lot of money...IMO, don't get a color that you don't love.
You've got to look at it every day & be happy. G-L  |

I'm the same way. I would have preferred a CG with black cup wheels. I got a AW with grey wheels. I really like it. Only color I couldn't do is VY :hide:

I would still have to decide if I really liked the color enough to buy it though. To me they look good in all colors but we all have our preferences. I think the test drive will help you make up your mind. |

Whites is not a color or a word! You ment 'white is"

Just my opinion but I've never seen a ZR1, in any color, that did not look good to me. I do like some better than others. Cyber Gray quickly comes to mind.:D
I could live with any color if the car I was looking at was nice, had only 15k on the clock, and was half the price of new. Believe me, these cars are very easy to "like.":yesnod: |

60K sounds too good to be true. They are all great cars but still you have to be happy with it for all that $$$:D Torch RED , but we have all seen what Kyle and FartPipe can do in other colors :smash::smash::smash: It was a one owner who traded back to the original dealer at 10,000, miles. Who sold it and it during that time. Before or after it showed here with 15,054 miles. Had some damage but totally repaired. But has clear title. I'm looking at the carfax this morning and they said perfect shape otherwise. Picture looked great! I will know when I look it over if it is right. They are hard to read. Just looks like they are selling real slow. A good deal will move but they are not selling anywhere close to blue book. Even when they bought less than MSRP! You still lose too much EXACTLY why I would not buy and did not buy these new. They drop like a rock like any other car. Hundreds of people paid a heafty price tag of over 100,000k didn't get much use. Even with only 50 miles they can't re- sell without a 20k plus beating. When they try to resell! Even a no mile car has lost a ton. But if it remains no mile the value will come back some over time. This car could be a great deal for me. If I get it less than 65,000. We see what a cash deal will bring. |
Yeah buying new sucks, but sometimes it's a wiser decision. I'm sure a lot of people wouldn't want my car after what I've done with it. That's the problem with performance cars in general.

^^^ I know, you'll never get that smell outta your car.
|
If you found a great deal on a ZR1, get it regardless of the color. There are no ugly ZR1 colors. Some are just better than others. As to which is better? Well, that is purely subjective.

Is this the VY one that was discussed in an earlier thread? It was in the Pacific NW and was repainted due to a crash. One member looked at it and said the color matching was off.
My favorite color is, of course, mine. :D SSB My second favorite for a ZR1 is AW. |
I went through the same thing just a month ago, I ended up with VY which by far was not the AW I wanted but much like you there was a give and take. The AW I was looking at was more money with 12k more miles. I decided a 1k mile car was a better deal for me and I think the ZR looks great in any color. If you have a car for 60k range then thats great in itself but always consider the previous damage because it will affect a car of this price range later down the line, sometimes price is not the only buying concern for everyone and they always assume yours is the one that was totalled and put back together...lol. There are alot of great buys out there now and could not agree more on buying the right used car vs new.

My favorite color is, of course, mine. :D SSB My second favorite for a ZR1 is AW. 300 ft into the test drive had to walk back and wait for the team to put gas in it the color match is bad 4000 to fix the paint 100 battery is toast would not start after a test drive 400 right rear wheel 6000 ? accident damage haunting value needs rear tires the right side was blended poorly to the front and rear so roughly 60 percent needs repainted. Giving up too much factory paint, NOBODY paints as durable as factory period. Might have made a deal but they held firm at 66,500. which I rather pay 78 and have a no damge car. 64,000 I would have drove it home. But looking back I m glad I waited. 1 will pop up soon Top colors are, Blade Silver , Torch red , black, cyber gray, In that order for me, But i look at color last! |
IMO, you were smart to walk away...there are enough undamaged ZR1s to choose from.

I have a think for atomic orange but the white is very sexy
