Over the next few years I will probably add a ZO7 splitter and spoiler ,maybe the side skirts. Coilovers and 20/19 black "Cup" wheels. Dark grey PAINTED shadow stripes. Short throw shifter. No engine performance mods needed for me.( don't want to press my luck.)

It would take a lot for me not to buy a Corvette, however, without a doubt I will go with the Porsche Cayman,
http://gomotors.net/pics/Porsche/porsche-cayman-05.jpg Cost more, but I will keep it longer, certainly will miss having a convertible, but you are getting a proven world class car.:thumbs: |

Plan B executed....
I sold my 08 C6 last summer waiting for the C7.....well, the C7 won't be out till july~sept and prices will be at MSRP, plus first yr??? well thats a gamble.... So I got very lucky and picked up a 12 GS Vert 3LT, nap and chrome wheels w/2k on the odo for under 50K (spec'd out the car, it had a 73K msrp)..... I'll drive it around for 2 yrs and pick up a C7 under invoice lol.... I tried to see whats out there other than a vette, nothing, nothing can comes close for the best bang for the vette and modding one... FYI, headers and all the way back on a M6/5 is 10 grand! no thanks :ack: |

At least so I've read. Of course it has immense presence and plenty of power, but every review I read by every test driver says essentially the same thing. It's got an archaic drivetrain, sloppy shifting, poor suspension composure, and just general lack of mechanical synergy. Of course that's not to say I'd forego the car if it were identically priced to the C7. But for four hundred grand, nobody seems to have anything good to say about it. I'm all about seeing for myself, but such a consensus has merit. |
Low mileage 911 Turbo or SRT Viper
I'll also look at the new Cayman |
I'd love a new Viper. That new interior has me making googley eyes. So gorgeous. But I can't justify a hundred grand for one when I can set up a mint, low-mile, in-warranty ZR1 with a trick suspension, nice wheels, and in my driveway for nearly $20k less.
I try so hard to like Porsches. I really do. But they just never do it for me. And I loathe that Cicada In A Soda Can exhaust note. A flat 6 short of 6000rpm makes me cringe. |
if for reason I do dislike it, the Viper is a possibility. The 911 another. Though if I do hate it, I'll be keeping my C6 at least for the time being.

My Plan B!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26-W7I3Ji_U

I'll just keep my C6, it suits me just fine.
Save the Wave:thumbs: |
Vet man,
All corvettes are cool. Ride with pride the one you enjoy. Even C7 will be replaced with C 8  |
I just broke the tires loose nailin it in third at about 80 with the traction control on in my 570 hp C6Z.....My plan A & B is to heed the cold:)....This thing need even more tire, less tire would be suicide:)
Seriosly though...I just hope this new vette aint ugly!!!! I have'nt heard the word ugly about a vette in a long time....but I have heard it about the new camaro. |

Everyone's worried about the looks of the car. I'm more worried about the price.
I just hope they don't force me into a Plan B by raising the price too much. I paid less than $40K for my well appointed C5 during a good economy...when you didn't get stuck with expensive packages full of useless stuff. Michael |

Actually, I liked it much better than the Macca, R8, Supeleggera, 458, 430 Scud or Murcielago. Go out to exoticsracing.com and try 10 laps in each...I did. Then again you'd probably think the Radical sucks too. |
I was thinking maybe a XTS, a Boss 302, or get a used c6 gs.
