PeteZ06 12-09-2012 09:02 PM

Maybe in another 40 yrs.

rcrflyby 12-09-2012 09:18 PM

no but i think the value of the c5's and c6's will go up when the garbage c7 comes out.

arkus 12-09-2012 09:53 PM

those speedway white z's have to be collectable

jpalamar 12-09-2012 10:13 PM

Nope. It's just a car that should be driven hard and a lot.

a lighter car with direct injection is garbage?

I think it will be, A base C5 No but a C5Z will be... Just like the C4 ZR1, the CZ06 will be as well as the C6Z06 and the ZR1... The base coupes no...

DvX 12-09-2012 11:54 PM

i think maybe the super low run ones (SW and z16) will be in like 20-30 more years lol

ctusser 12-10-2012 12:00 AM

Less so than the 90's ZR-1's and they aren't very collectable yet.

Breze84 12-10-2012 12:14 AM

They will be, watch and see... For those of us that will be around long enough to see it that is :D...

Damillio 12-10-2012 01:10 AM

Will people really want a 20-40yr old car with 100k+ miles on it? No garage queen here!

Jawnathin 12-10-2012 03:25 AM

I love C5Zs but I doubt it. I think they'll be coveted for the cheap speed aspect (as they've been for the past 5 years), but I don't think they'll ever hit 'collectable' status.

Collectable C5s are the 5 Aztec Gold ones.

Exactly. Think about how much more exclusive those ZR1's were and they're not bringing big $ these days. I would imagine a c5z will be more collectible than a base model but not that much. Drive them now and enjoy them. :)

95rtturbo 12-10-2012 08:49 AM

No they most likely won't - simply too many were made to be considered a collectable.

PhilsFRC 12-10-2012 10:19 AM

If they do become collectible, I'll be dead by then-LOL!

you cant just go by how many they made.
they made well over 20,000 c2 big blocks .
look at those now.
also look at how well c5z's are holding their value.
when people say 'they made too many of them ' they are just repeating what they heard another member say .

I am not just "repeating what other members say". IF someday they do magically become "collectable", it won't be for many many years, and the value won't bring anywhere near what a run of the mill CD would bring. Buy them to drive them.

OK fine

I sell my Artic White/tan 2004 A4 vert with less then 14K miles on. All OEM.

it will be a collectable for sure.
