Thinking about making the switch...

I posted this in the C5 section but figured I'd solicit thoughts from you guys as well...

I know the C7 is not far away but I also know that I wouldn't be getting one of those unless I denounce my LEO status and go all Grand Theft Auto on the dealership!

That being said, I have come across a 2008 A6 Coupe 4LT for $30,000...White with a clear targa...?two tone? interior of course**NOT**...and 28k miles...

So I'm seriously thinking about making the switch...

thoughts?

i have the C6 for the weekend right now...

Sounds like a good deal -- especially if you're looking for the pricey 4LT package ($8600 option).

Of course, price is affected by the usual suspects -- location, condition, winter, options, carfax, maintenance, mods, garage queen vs track whore, etc etc etc.

Post pics after it's a done deal.

If I had run across that deal, you wouldn't have had the option to buy. Go for it.

I vote to go ahead and buy it if everything checks out

That sounds like a great deal. 4LT and an LS3. I made the switch from a C5 a few months back and don't regret it at all.

Buy it! Buy it! Sounds like a killer deal! :woohoo::woohoo::cool::cool:

I would get a trusted mechanic to give it a once over and if everything checks out, buy it.

I think you will really like it.

dvilin 12-02-2012 06:02 PM

 The numbers are good, buy it.

Not much to think about here. If it has a clean car fax and has no issues it's a STEAL

you had it for the weekend, find a road and open it up, youll know if its borken or not, lol.

4SUMERZ 12-02-2012 06:33 PM

:iagree: sounds like a sweet deal.

I gotta go with the majority on this one - if its in good shaper, the deal sounds great and you no doubt be very happy. The C6 is a big jump over the C5 and 4lt is awesome! To quote Nike, just do it!

Tonylmiller 12-02-2012 07:13 PM

I have a 3LT vert, but I'm loving it! I don't think you will be sorry! !

JerriVette 12-02-2012 07:20 PM

Check the service history on warranty work.. If it sounds about right go for it.

I love my 2008 c6 !

:iagree: with all of the above--all good advice.

:iagree: I made the switch from my faithful old C5 a couple of years ago. Zero regrets!
