Do you have kids? Having that many cones around could cause more damage then what would happen otherwise.

Wow, I set myself for this beating I guess :) ! I should have mentioned that this began when my 12 year old son decided to "park" his bike and skateboard right next to my car, so being the OCD person that I am, I took it to the extreme and bought (no, funny though it was, I did not steal them from the highway dept.) all these cones and put up the barrier. The one in the front of the car is because the recycling barrel is in front of the car and everyone likes to throw (and miss) bottles in to it so in case of a stray projectile I'm covered. And no, this is not my first new car (I've had more than I can count), and no, it wasn't a stretch to buy it. Maybe it's an only child thing, I don't like people messin with my stuff lol. In any case, I'm glad I didn't tell my wife about this post yet cause it looks like I am losing big time. Thanks for all the comments in any case, I got a good laugh at my own expense!
I say address the core problem, not band aid it with cones. If any kid (person) is ok throwing bottles in a recycling bin a few feet from your $85k + car you've got bigger issues that will get worse over time. I don't don't have kids but someone's azz is getting whooped if bikes, skateboards, surf boards, bottles, etc get knocked into a car due to blatant carelessness. OK, I'm done now. Wow, I just got worked up:ack: |
I really should move this to OT

Love it! Very funny! I assume you also have an air purifier with a hepa filter?
|
he has an all in one air handling system with desssicant dehumidiifcation, and steam humidifier for those time when it drops below 38 grains in the garage, lol.

Yes, Over the Top is correct.

One can never be too cautious in ones garage, especially while working around the car at your workbench during winter storage. I only have a 1 -1/2 car garage and it's close. I even put towels and bedspread Over my cover!! Lol

Thanks! LMAO, so far I'm not doing too well!

I'm worried that some kid might accidently bump that skateboard and roll it into the protective zone of death thus upsetting the harmonic balance of the universe and we will all be blasted into the eternal cosmos never to drive our fantastic play toys ever again. Good lord man ease up.

WTF. Seriously. :crazy2:

I definitely have to agree with you. You need all the protection you can get. But, I am wondering- why aren't there any cones BEHIND the car? You need a lot more back there.--
