im ready for a cover now but can not decide! Im in the NW. I need strong material but soft on the inside for the nice paint.
Do I get the Noah or the weathersheild?

The Noah and Weathershield do not have an interior lining.

The Noah is a thicker cover, good for rain and to protect against
dings and dents.

The Weathershield is a thinner cover, like parachute material.
It is very breathable and is good for areas with rain and snow.

The cover you want is from Coverking and is called Autobody Armour.
It is very expensive though...

Hope that helps

I have always used a Noah but the problem I've encountered is that the material only seems to hold up for about a year and thats being underneath a carport. After a year, every time I remove the cover, theres a build up of dirt and dust underneath and the cover material feels considerably weaker then when it was new. The cover doesn't really get sun on it and the only time rain/snow hits in (live in Maryland), is if the rain/snow are blowing. Any suggestions?

We sell a ton of Stormproofs, the fit is grea, which will cut down
on the dust and dirt getting under the cover. It is much thinner
than the Noah.

If you want a thicker cover, try the Autobody Armour:thumbs:

I live in SoCal at the end of a culdesac, I get lots of wind and dust on my car as well as my neighbor's sprinklers sometimes. Car is in direct sunlight all day. Never and snow, sometimes rain. Recommendations?
Thanks

car cover

I just ordered the weather shield cover. Which one is a better cover?
weather Armour or weather shield. If the weather Armour is better for all around usage, I would like to pay the differences and get the better one

Caveboy 09-11-2013 04:11 PM

My order number is : 2298-2151-3969

I assume you mean the Autobody Armour from Coverking.

They are two different covers.

The Weathertech cover is a light cover. Think parachute type
material. It folds up nice and compact and does a great job
with rain and snow. It will not protect against dings.

The Autobody Armour is a much thicker cover. It will do all of
the above, but it will protect against dings and scuffs. It has much
more bulk when folded up.

The cover is mainly for parking outside my driveway. Which one do you recommend?

Caveboy 09-11-2013 06:49 PM

and any cats that decide to use my car as a scratching post.

Outdoor covers C5

I have a HPDE track car that is stored outside in Maryland, under trees. Not so worried about the paint finish at this point but don't like to wash the car so often as the cover I have now lets fine dust through it and doesn't dry well. Also, is there any cover that will stay on with open trailering?
Thanks

I would go with the Noah from Covercraft. It's a medium weight
cover with excellent moderate weather characteristics, good for rain
and light snow.

Keeping a cover on when on a trailer is not a good idea. it will scratch
in the wind buffeting and if it comes off,you will have a big problem.

If you want a light/thin cover, I'd go with the Satin Stretch From Coverking

http://www.customcorvetteaccessories...oorcovers.html

If you want a medium weight cover to protect against contact
scratches, I'd go with the Dustop from Covercraft.

http://www.customcorvetteaccessories...doorcover.html

Both will do well for keeping dust and pollen off the car.

Chip, is there an accomodation in the Noah cover for the fixed antenna on the '02 C5Z06? Last question before purchase.
THanks

What do you recommend simply for water protection? My C5 sits outside currently and leaks water into the cabin during rain showers.

Thanks!
