They are round at bottom but clipped at top by bezel so the finished look, they are definitely not round

Same as the eyes of a Stingray ! Haha

RicK T 09-23-2012 10:36 PM

Here's one.

It is smaller than the one in that render. Everything else seems right on.
The flag logo is more V shaped and it is missing the corvette lettering that is centered under flag logo.

If you collect up all I have posted. I think I have covered pretty much everything.

Paulchristian 09-23-2012 10:44 PM

can some post the trinty rendering with the tapered rear window that mikeG37 modified? I would like keeks to comment on that one. The one that was pictured does not have the tapered rear window

John T 09-23-2012 10:47 PM

The only thing keeks did not cover is the unusual rear hatch glass.. He did cover the taper but not the unusual glass

John T 09-23-2012 10:49 PM

Mr keeks said the taper was there but not quite as drastic

I wasn't going to spread this over multi threads but since you brought it up I think it's a good idea. It was pretty well buried in the other thread.

LT1 430hp close to current base engine

Base model only for 2014, supercharged 2015

LT4 586hp 2015

7 speed manual - reverse is far right and down

Targa

Quarter windows fixed

Back hatch opens

Heated and cooled seats

Although I do know quality and materials for interior are apparently "best ever "
IMO it is far better than C6, maybe not Cadillac

Just saw black with red stitching

Center stack in interior similar to current but vertical passenger grab handle just to right of Nav unit.

Cluster has large flat screen about 4" high by 6.5" wide centered in middle. Speedo on left side of flat screen (real speedo, not a digital graphic one), on right side of flat screen is fuel gauge upper right , above temp gauge.

Speedo gauge on left like a reverse capital "D" and the right side cluster looks like a capital "D".

DIC is outstanding and Nav Bluetooth is better than Ford Sync.

Steering wheel flat bottom F1 'style

Parking break handle is non existent as far as I can see but looks like it is a switch in center console like a window switch.... Maybe electronic. Just to right of ride control selector. Not sure how it works..

Ride control selector is in same place

Convertible up and down button in same place

LED ambient lighting
LED ambient lighting is sweet.

Back up camera

9 speaker Bose with subwoofer in trunk.
Wireless connection to iPod and some type of charge pad

Cool Stingray logo on fenders.....
Not the script from the past, but an actual emblem of a stylized stingray

Big front grill opening has a middle horizontal bar the color of the paint

Hood vents I saw were black

Crossed flag logo more "V" shaped

Rear bumper "CORVETTE" lettering is not the same color as car

Exhaust improved, dual note exhaust. Tips look exactly like C6

Rear end is noticeably thinner.

Rear taillights do resemble Camaro/ Malibu but VERY angry looking.
They are aware of uproar on tailights and said, " they bitched about fixed headlights on C6 and then got used to it, it will be same with taillights.

BU lights are those thin vertical lights at the bottoms/side of the bumper

Thinner tires are weird when I compare to my '13 427

New from Sept 9:

2014 will be lightest modern corvette in history

No AWD

Vert tunk area same as C6 with slight changes to storage bins

Vette team surprised how good latest Jaloponik renderings are

New from Sept 22, new thread here:

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c7-g...more-info.html

tires...P285/30ZR19 frt, P235/25ZR20 rear

Front park assist.

Coupe removable roof with optional carbon fibre.

2015 lt4 will be upgrade of camaro zl1 with more hp

Dash similar setup to like xts with cue electronics system.

The supercharged lt4 is a 2015 thing.

hearing that waiting for 2015 is advisable with engineering tweaks etc

Quarter windows are fixed, you can see through quarter windows.

Optional seats, memory, cool, heat, hi performance Recaro.......definitely options

Hood vent unlikely on Lt1 ... For sure on on lt4

Headlights function similar to caddy ....

A lot of effort to cool brakes and lots of ducts for that purpose

will stream music wirelessly and will have apps on the touchscreen?
Like the caddy

True hotrod of C7 will be 2016

Renderings: (Trust me these are legit.)

They are 100% squinty angry versions of the camaro tailights. They are not round. Period.

I pray for the safety of this thread when the haters discover this information.

sorry... misread his post. Thought he suggested there was little (if any) tapering.

Hey, Keeks. Do you know if the C7 will have electric power steering or still hydraulic assist?

In those CAD renders, I don't see a hydraulic PS reservoir.

Don't know sorry

BTW, I don't see a throttle body as well. I'm wondering if this motor will have the same kind of valve actuation-based throttle that the 370z (VQ37) motors have. Those motors still have throttle bodies, but they're open 100% during operation and the valves control the throttle.

Jp23rockstar 09-23-2012 11:05 PM

Keeks can you confirm if the 8sp ZF transmission will be used for 2014? Thanks.

SCM_Crash 09-23-2012 11:06 PM

One more thing I just noticed... The CAD drawing of the seats don't have the big open loop provisions as the seats we've seen in the prototypes. I still believe those are temporary seats so that the new awesome lux seats aren't shown off.

Cool. Thanks. I'm guessing that the power steering is all electric based on the CAD drawings and based on the info GM released MANY years ago about them saying they wanted to get rid of hydraulic power steering.
