Interesting with the Camaro in there. Does it look like the top of the Corvette fender only reaches the crease on the Camaro fender? How does that compare to the C6?

Does the rear overhang look short compared to the C6 to anyone else?

Heres a little better cut of the original photo, shows it next to the camaro. Wish I could get the original to upload, but it fails each time.

Awesome, a forum member comes thru. Amazing how close the compilation of renderings appear to be to the prototype.

This is kind of like Christmas morning but instead of opening the gift quickly, it is taking months.

Mule 31 here, Mule 49 in the Road & Track thread, 3 in one shot: one with an open rear hatch right above, lots of wrapped presents are making their appearances...

McGirk94LT1 09-15-2012 03:11 AM

I have a very strong feeling this car is gonna be decently big. Larger then the c6. I know everyone keeps saying "Oh yeah its smaller" and GM keeps saying how they want to slim its appearance down. But if you look at spy photos from the c6/7 test mules, the wheels are pushed out farther, increasing the wheelbase like was stated from the get go. But all the c7 photos seem to show about the same overhangs as the c6, if not greater. Thus, the wheels are farther apart then the c6, and the overhangs are similar, then front to back the car is gonna be longer. And honestly, next to that camaro, it looks fairly tall too.

Not really feelin the fact the back end/rear fenders seem so tall. Really interested to see, but not getting hopes up...

sweet!

Thanks for posting up!

Can't tell much yet I believe the c7 will be similar to the f12 Ferrari with detail differences and of course pricing anyone can afford.

C7 will have an even lower hood line than the c6. That's about all I can see.

Rear exhausts look menacing as well.

Thx!

The rear shot of 39 make it looks a lot more low profile than the C6 to me.

npayme 09-15-2012 08:42 AM

Either way it goes, I'm in love w/ Vette's... From what I'm seeing, i will be a C7 owner as soon as humanly possible for the simple fact...IT'S A VETTE! Tell Pop's good job with the pics!

The front overhang looks greater than the C6. Not sure how that will look...

Additionally, everyone keeps talking about how the back of this car will be a departure from traditional vette styling cues. However, when the car is finally revealed, I am pretty confident that it will be the FRONT of this car that will be the biggest departure from traditional styling cues. To me, even under the cover, it looks like a corvette from the doors back, and a Ferrari from the doors forward. The front clip of this car will look VERY european.

Based on this photo, it looks like there's going to be a lot of taper to the the rear "greenhouse" of the car. If you look closely I think you can see the edge of the glass, and there is a lot of rear deck between that line and the edge of the fender.

I think this car is going to be absolutely stunning!

Just got off the phone with my old man.....What GM has told them they are doing high altitude calibration on the new engines. Been there all week, should be there a few days more. What's silly is anybody can go rent a room above and shoot pictures below.
