Cheaper than what? What prices are you seeing out there?

BTW, even if your car has heated seats don't spend the extra $$$ for a console bezel with heated seat buttons. You can very easily transplant the buttons from your old bezel to the new one.

Another option is we can apply the GM 2008-2009 finsih to a 2005-2007 center radio/shifter console too.
Much cheaper and the results are awesome.

We can also do the center radio/shifter console in the GM 2010-2012 pattern too. Below is a picture of the console we did in a GM 2010-2012 4lt finish (We just added the stainless trim rings)

And then there is our Gun Metal carbon Fiber Finish too...

..or you can just pull the center console & wrap it in matte-black 3M self adhesive vinyl for about $30...

Was this Di-noc or 1080?

Bumpnrun 08-13-2012 09:51 PM

Ebay...around $400. thats where I got mine a few years back

Bedouin 08-14-2012 12:29 PM

Snake, I can't recall if it was di-noc or 1080, but I'm certain it was 3M. I just happened to have a sign shop near work that also did partial wraps on police/gov't cars & had a big piece of it on hand for $30.

If you do this with the matte black you'll be surprised how durable it is, & how well it matches all the other matte black stock trim. Couple pointers; be sure to leave enough material inside of the cut-outs, corners especially (vent ports, radio hole, etc) so that you can pull it tight enough so that it adheres completely & doesn't release at all.

Lastly, heat & pull the material tightly around/over the holes, for the shifter & drink holder especially, to prevent it from getting air tiny bubbles under it. Otherwise it's pretty straightforward to install this stuff & it's easy to pull the console & re-do certain spots if they're not perfect.
