C3 Corvette... Limosuine?

See it (if you dare) here: C3 Corvette...Limosuine?

Oh the horror! The humanity! Six wheels. Three axles. And an american flag paint job, just to top it all off.

At the risk of being chastized, I'm going go come out and say it's not as bad as I thought it would be. Take away the hideous paint job and it's kind of cool, in a novelty sort of way.
Usually cars with a lot of curves make stupid looking limos, but they actually did a nice job of making the curves fit in the right places.

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

This almost looks like the car they might have used in the MYSTERY MEN movie. But alas, it's not. There are now two of these C3 limos at least.

As my youngest son would say "I cant like it"

In my book, the Plain Jane C3 parked by the fence generates more interest. The stretch does not do it for me.

LOL. I wonder if they converted it to solid axles since I don' think they will autocross much with it.

There was a red one for sale for a long time. I am not sure if it had tandem axles or not, but I remember they wanted some crazy money for it.. like $300K. Wantin' ain't gettin' and it was for sale for forever. Probably still is..

Hi,
This proves that there are some things an old man shouldn't waste his diminishing eyesight on!
Regards,
Alan

Mg, what part of it isn't as bad as you thought it would be?

The roof line and the cowl. Usually those are hard to integrate when they're curved as much as they are in the C3. I've seen some SUV limos that make me cringe.

I like the airbrushing on the back. Besides that, not so much.

Surely he's not using the standard L48 to pull that thing.

Raphiki 04-11-2012 07:57 PM

How many vettes were sacrificed to make that monstrosity?

ATIS 04-11-2012 10:21 PM

Dang, can you imagine trying to bleed the brakes on that thing??

MyRed69 04-11-2012 10:37 PM

I wonder if I could swap the automatic out for a 5 speed???

sweeet76 04-11-2012 10:59 PM

I really think I've seen that antenna on some of the ricers as spoilers.

Ryan427 04-16-2012 04:27 PM

All that work and no 20' long sidepipes? Pfft.
