Sad to see it go but looking forward to the next model. I think 2013 sales will be poor and they will have to heavily discount them to move them out.

The only thing that remains constant, is change. It's time to upgrade the Corvette.

1962 Last Year of C1 14,531 Built 1967 Last Year of C2 22,940 Built 1982 Last Year of C3 25,407 Built 1996 Last year of C4 21,536 Built 2004 Last Year of C5 34,064 Built In 1996 the last year of the C4 everybody knew about the all new C5 coming and the 1996 car out sold the 1995 car. Samething in 2004 the C6 was coming but it didn't hurt 2004 sales. With the 60th Anniversary Editions, The 427 Convertible, and maybe the last year for both the ZO6 and ZR-1 I think sales will do just fine. Remember not everybody will like the C7, some buyers may like the C6 better. Until we see the real car and what is under the hood then buyers will either want it or want the last C6's!!! |

Corvette History says otherwise.

Will there be anything to replace the ZR1 ?? Hell if they (GM) stops making the ZR1 I'm betting their value will go up FAST !

I'm thinking the first year of the c7 it'll just be one model and then as time progresses they'll have more models out each year.

That only happened in '84 and '97.

seems to me with the model year ending early, and the new model not coming out for IIRC six months or so, the '13 model year cars will be stockpiled by dealers in the know. and those '13s will sell continuously until the new one comes out.
after all, with every new generation of corvette announced, there've always been those who say they'll take the last and best (most improved) year of the outgoing generation. just look at this thread and many others. |

Yeah but 2005 had the Z51 Option and that was just like a Z06...or so their buyers claimed back in the day as to their coveted "Z" status...
