When I first saw the screen I was amazed that it could be manufactured in '63 (maybe as far back as '57) and the hole in the metering orifice is nearly invisible. Makes me wonder how it's possible to push 20 gallons gas through 8 of those in a month!
All new to me and interesting.

Does anyone know the CFM of a 63-65 Rochester air meter?

Just slightly less than 700 cfm at 28" depression.

Edit: I should qualify that number by adding that it was measured with the choke shaft and choke butterfly removed. If the choke hardware is present, air flow will be slightly less but I don't know by how much.

The "secret" is the fuel pressure. At wide open throttle, nozzle fuel pressure can reach 200 PSI.

the BIG perc problem is that fuel pressure in the spider is 'almost' non-existent in a C1 spider/nozzles
