Wiper switch replacement
 

:willy:Can you replace the switch from no pulse to one w/pulse ? Do i need to change the controller ? When i got my '78, the PO gave me alot of new parts still in their box's. One is a new AC Delco Switch,Wiper w/Pulse,78-82. I'm hoping to use this with out having to replace a lot of things.

Just changing to a "pulse" switch will not give you intermittent wipers.
There is a module under the radio with about 15 wires going to it for the intermittent system.

The switches may be interchangable if you just have a bad switch, don't know for sure.

Thanks. My A.I.M. only shows the "pulse". The switch that is in the car works but has rust.

My advice would be to leave it alone for as long as it works. Hang on to your replacement switch until it's needed. Most 78s had intermittant wipers.
