Nice weather and a recent run to Cars n coffee at (EAG). I usually post up whatever is happening, cmon Spring autox and Cruise in time!
Op Where have you been ? Did a motorcycle run thru Vonore 2 fridays ago...I saw a little gathering down on 411 on the way back,I cant remember the name of that little cafe that caught the leftovers from the Foothills Mall cruise in failure...:yesnod:

Yep. I remember a group called the smokey mountain cruisers that always started their thread titles with SMC. Haven't seen that in quite some time though.

Those were a cRaZy bunch of characters.... :thumbs:

Crossville, TN here but I used to live in Maryville for a few years. But my car is a track only car so it won't be seen on any streets.

I did some searches and it looks like SMC WAS a fun bunch but it looks like most of their posting faded in 06 or 07. So dont let this fade lets see if we can get some nights out EH? I would love to go watch Golden eagle10 race! AND 97pace00 Jeep I recognize that avatar .....What happened is everyone now in ETCC? I am going to try and get with ETCC this year , just hard to get from OR to East knox on a workday as I work til 6 or 7 most nights....Wave On!

Sleepy hamlet of Dandridge. Just went to the ETCC planning meeting in Knoxville Tuesday night.

THE SMC has sorta faded fromn the scene.
Ron and a few of the others are still around.
The ETCC is going strong with over 200 members.

Yep, The Smoky Mountain Cruisers (SMC) were a fun bunch, but as some unorganized groups go, they just fade after a while as everyone goes different ways.

However, as Phanni said, I've hung around some with the ETCC and over the last few years their events have increased in variety. I went to last years autocross class. Sounds like there are still changes being made to make 2012 an exciting year for the club. More events, more variety, more people...

Add ETCC to you bookmarks! :thumbs:

Another spotless sunday here in Kville. had a great ride on ol US 129 to the crossroads of time and over foothills parkway and home into the sunset. Enjoy those spring days friends, the annual onslaught of chrome and drragging pipes is almost here! EAG cars n coffee this Sat and Solo at pellisippi is Sunday. PM if you are more than a waxer! JJ

You going to the autox Sunday? I've been thinking about it... toss up for me going vs. working on my car.

What is EAG Cars and Coffee and where is it gonna happen? Might try to make it if the weather stays nice.

Its at the European Auto Garage (EAG) where a bunch of high end cars come out and hang out at their garage. I've been to a couple of them and some very nice cars come out for it... anything from Ferrari's, Lambo's, Porsche's, some Vette's, old school muscle and plenty more. Normally starts around 9am till about noon on Saturday. Anyone and everyone is welcome... they will also have the garage open to go in and look around to see all the racecars that EAG is preparing too.

Yes for sure on Solo sunday. I will be spectating 1 more time.12 noon they should be running until 4. If you want a show spot for CnC you should try to get there by 8 as it fills up very quickly!! EAG is on Sherway Blvd and surrounding business' dont mind you parking there. The last time I was there they had a twin turbo 11 Camaro on the lift with the front of the motor all apart and the shopis fun to explore! Hope to meet you all.

So, where exactly is the autox?

Dang, I haven't been to one of those in over 40 years! (Yeah, I'm older than dirt) Last time I was at one, I competed with my '61 Bugeye Sprite. Tried my best to blow that 948cc monster up but, it just kept chugging along. I think I was kind of an entertaining sideshow for the more serious drivers there. :D

I would encourage anyone to come out and not only just watch, but participate too. Watching is honestly boring to me. They have a novice class that if you feel more comfortable running in and will have guys to help out the novices all day long.

If anyone wants a little coaching for the event... I can always co-drive with anyone. :cool:

Sonny would be great to see you again! Take pellisippi speedway north and exit @ Hardin Valley, left under the bridge ( west)first or second right you see will bring you into the parking lot of the campus. Eagle 10 if you come over from Crossv I will run a few....you motivated.... I plan on a few ride alongs this week. worst part is getting there early to run!

Well, I was in SMC... I don't think I've posted on CF in several years, but... Hi! I'm still around too.

Sorry I didn't make it out. The chance to buy a used Kwiklift popped up so, I jumped on it Sunday.

How'd it go?
