Original Radio Removal
Okay, I pulled the instrument clusted tonight for a repaint. (I'm still looking for a paint I can buy locally that will do the job SEM trim Black 39143 or 5 ball will do and still open to alternative suggestions)
I got the bezel clear but, I'll be doggone, I can't figure how to detach the radio. Feel a bit like a fool, too. I've done far more complicated things, but can separate the bezel from the radio, not wanting to destroy the radio in the process, I thought I'd ask you for some direction. Suggestions?... Strike that... Answers? Ugghhh. |
Did you remove the 9/16 nuts from the radio shafts? They are behind the knobs. Knobs just pull off. Nuts are hard to get to with a socket. Sometimes I use a pair of needle nose pliers. mike...

Thanks Mike... Figured it out. Fun fun fun.

You are a smart guy. Take a break when frustrated and not force/break parts. Somehow, one hour later, most things make more sense.
