How do you check the odometer without starting the car?????

I know there is a way to check the odometer without starting it but I cant remember how. :willy:

2008 owner's manual, page 3-34.

To read the odometer with the ignition off, turn on the
parking lamps.

Thanks to CRS, many times I know there's an answer, but can't remember what it is. That's why I have to look it up in the manual so often.

Having the manuals in electronic form makes it easy to look up words like "odometer."

Being retired makes it easier to multitask and read the forum frequently while you're waiting for inputs to your food basket program.

Or you can just turn on the headlights, look at the miles and turn them back off. You don't even have to sit in the car!

Wow, there's another one of those tidbits that I didn't know after 6.5 years of ownership. Interesting stuff, Jim.

How to program side mirrors

Just got my vet last year but there was no manual, the side mirrors keep moving donw every time I turn on the car and I have to adjust them all the time! Please, someone tell me how to program the side view mirrors so that they don't shift downwards every time. Thanks :ack:

Put the mirrors where you want them when you drive. Then press and hold the button on the door for the fob number you're using until it beeps.

IF your car is 3LT equipped, here's the procedure: adjust the seat, outside mirrors, and telescopic steering wheel to desired position. Press and hold button 1 until you hear two beeps. Button number 1 is located on the driver's door. Those settings wil be stored in memory. Same can be done with button 2 for another driver.
