I went from an 08 c6 3LT to an 11' GS with 4LT, I ordered the car just the way I wanted and find the 4LT worth every penny...

WHAT? You are being misleading for sure, you said "take the 3LT cause the 4 LT adds over $10,000 to the sticker price". How about take the 4LT cause it is only $3500 more than the 3LT. :yesnod:

Thanks for correcting me. It was an honest guess. I was off a little  Anyway I can still argue that my dash, door panels, console lid, steering wheel and both boots and handles cost about that and are 100% better quality over the 4lt interior.

No. But as he said, he's looking at a Callaway Corvette - so what's behind you, shouldn't matter

That's funny, and you're correct again.

Compared to other cars in the ZR1's price range it looks out of place. It is all subject to personal opinion. Compare it to an Audi or Jaguar and it fails big time though.

Compared to the ZR1 the performance of the Audi and Jag are out of place, they fail big time, so now what? I guess for that price you can't really have everything can you. I will take my nice interior and fantastic performance compared to their fantastic interiors(subjective) and nice performance (subjective)

I have a '06 vert 3LT. Don't have GS envy, LS3, new steering, different wheel, etc envy...

But after seeing that stitched dash and other 4LT trim I have 4LT envy bigtime. Gimme 99LT, gimme the Mercedes Airscarf, ventilated A/C seats...

RUBYREDVET 11-29-2011 12:32 AM

My brother and I were driving C5's in 2007 when we saw the leather interior (3LZ for Z06 and 4LT for coupes and verts) in the Corvette Corral at an AMLS race. We were blown away and remarked that we both need new C6's.:yesnod: My brother ordered his 2008 coupe in the fall of '07 and I picked up an '08 Z in August 2008.:D The leather option is what pushed us over the edge.
We have both since replaced the shifter, park brake boots and console cover with leather.

I wished I'd asked this question. I went LT3 and now would have preferred the LT4. This seems to be the consensus, doesn't it.

Now I have to get the guy with the 4LT to fix his number the right way, he is trying to get a lot more or I will have to order the car and have it shipped to Callawy instead of doing it now, nothing is ever easy.

Snake.Oiler 11-29-2011 07:59 AM

I bought a 2010 3LT last year. Had it 3 months and traded for the 4LT. IMO, this should be the standard interior for the 1LT price

CO GEEZER 11-29-2011 12:33 PM

Just a suggestion for anyone considering the 4LT.... Forget the Heritage Package for $2500 or what ever it is. All it includes is fender stripes, Choice of two tone seats (already comes with 4LT) and embroidered seat head rest which also already comes with 4LT. Huge rip off from GM.

Downside Of 4LT

I have the 4LT and like it. The problem is the thick leather makes the thin, poor quality seat leather look like extremely thin vinyl. Anyone know of seat covers in thicker higher quality leather?

ohfiver 11-29-2011 01:41 PM

I ordered the 3lt

Ordered a Cent. Edition G/S coupe, pick it up in a few weeks. To me the 3lt Cent. Edition interior was just right. I will use the savings for other mods!

If you have the means for a Callaway, you may very well be able to afford a full Caravaggio interior. If so,have Callaway send it up to Toronto when they are done & you'll have an interior that is unrivaled.

Invicta1 11-29-2011 08:18 PM

I was not going to get the 4LT until I sat in one. Mine is Torch red with the red stiching. Once I saw it I was sold. I bought the car. No regrets.

I guess you are right. Why expect everything in a car that cost 6 digits? :crazy2: Also the R8-V10 lost to the ZR1 on Top Gear's track (same driver) by around 1 second. Add some moisture and I bet the results would have changed. But hey the ZR1 has an interior that is in a car not even half its price so it has got to make up for it somewhere.

Since the OP mentioned Callaway, I mentioned a better interior since he is willing to spend close to 6 digits already.

Actually one second is an eternity in supercar wars, plus why didn't you mention 1/4 performance and top speed too? I know why, all LARGE ZR1 wins by HUGE amounts. :yesnod: Plus, as you can see, the 4LT lovers are showing their force in this thread, maybe it isn't as bad as you want people to believe. :yesnod:

4LT is the way to go. The leather dash makes all the difference.

:iagree: I wish they had this option on the 06's. I guess it just means DSV is going to get more of my money or DD Mods once I see what their dash looks like.

I never said 4LT wasn't good as I owned an 08 4LT for 3 years. In a car that costs $100-120k it doesn't look right though especially since they didn't change anything such as seats/tranny/ebrake areas. The OP stressed Callaway which is a $20k + option. I know the ZR1 is fast but in reality on the street the difference is not that big unless you either don't care about tickets or are good friends with the local police. I know you have owned a Ferrari before or maybe currently do. How does the 4LT compare to its interior? Do the seats show crinkle marks after a couple years? Probably not. Personally I don't see spending 6 digit kind of money on any car, especially one whose interior looks like it is from a car in the $30-50k range with a Cobalt steering wheel. But to each their own.

I do still own the 430 and it was a $200,000 car (new) not a $114,000 car and no the interior in my ZR1 is not of Ferrari quality, but since I DO own the 4LT or whatever it is called in the ZR1, yes it is nice. I did change the steering wheel for an Apsis, but I really think that is all I am changing. Now my wifes all ebony 3LT interior was too "all ebony" and yea, plasticy, so I changed about 60-75% of the interior. Honestly, I think you are being waaay to harsh on this interior, I really, really like it. :yesnod:

I have to agree 100%. :iagree:

Love the cobalt analogy.

The ZR-1 is in a league of its own and should have all the accessoriess and interior goodies to go with the speed and performance it offers.
