Fast 90mm intake port gasket...what do you use now???
Well from the info that i got the FAST 90MM intake port gasket set is not available anymore...So what are you guys using ???
Does the ls6 oem one seal properly ??? Thanks Eric |
If you are talking about the 8 o-ring style gaskets on each runner that seal against the head, then just buy an intake gasket set from one of the auto parts stores or from GM. They will work fine. Make you have the button head bolts on your valley cover. I'm not sure what gasket to use for the 90mm throttle body. You can probably buy an LS2 TB gasket.

Well that sucks. If you go OEM, go new and don't re-use. The FAST gaskets were a bit stiffer rubber than stock, if you have parts stores that have them in stock you could check to see if they are as soft as the stock ones.

I got some FAST gaskets from Hinson a few weeks ago

Be more specific - are you talking about the 8 port o-rings or the throttle body gasket? The LS1/6 cathedral head ports don't care if you have a 78mm, 90mm, 92mm, or 102mm throttle body opening.

I tought that i could put a small bead or rtv in the groove of the each intake port and then put the seal in.This would make them a little bit thicker and less prone to compress...good or bad idea ??? |

Well it seems that i was misinformed and that the intake port gasket are the same for the 90-92-102 .So of course they are still available: http://www.compperformancegroupstore...Category_Code= http://compperformancegroupstores.co..._Code=146203-8 |
