Liquid Glass paint sealant
Does anyone have experience with this product or can recommend something better? I heard good things about Liquid Glass. I imagine that the prep work for this is quite extensive.

I have used for years with great results. Always looking for something better, but have never found it, IMO. No more prep than other products I have tried. Also, it is the only product that was recommended by my installer for use over my 3M film on my bumper, hood and front fenders.

Liquid Glass is a good product another one you may want to try is Rejex. If you post this on the Care Care part of the forum you will get more input or you can ask your question directly to Autogeek a forum vendor who is one of the experts in this area.

a friend of mine swears by the stuff. uses it on his dark blue Porche.

I love the 3M clear bra. It's saved my front end from many chips. Nice to know that Liquid Glass can be used over the top. Good info, thanks!

Its an older product but still widely available. Finish First is quite similar and often a competitor product. Klasse Twins (AIO and SG) are likely also considered a similar type product but in two-steps. Rejex and Zaino often similar durability but very different ingredients and design.

So to apply, I wash with dish soap, clay bar and then seal it with Liquid Glass. I understand that this stuff truly hardens unlike carnuba wax. Does this mean that I should apply wax on top of the sealant for a deep shine?

Bought my 07 used from a gentleman in Arkansas. He bought the car new had only used Liquid Glass and now 2 years after I took possession,the car still beads up better than brand new paint. I have not applied anything except quick touch up spray once or twice. This is good stuff. :thumbs:

Lookin' at gettin' a Centennial GS. This will come in handy with that color.

I've used it for many years. It's the only product I use on the paint. I can do the entire car in about 15-20 minutes. Put it on thin , let it haze over and remove with a micro fiber towel. Let the car sit out of sun for about 4 hours to cure and then put it in the sun to bake it in. You can also build up layers so it acually looks like glass. I don't do any of that clay or special prep I don't think it's needed.

Its been around a long time.. has a solvent in it though.... its not bad stuff however..
like stated.. try Rejex or Zaino.. I think you will find they are better. |
It's great stuff. Been using it for many years. Goes on easy and lasts a long time with good protection. I even put it on the glass! You should give it a try..you will like it. I do make sure the paint is clean before applying....so...if you car is garage kept and pretty clean...then fine...if not...I would clay bar it and LG actually has a "pre-cleaner"...that way the paint is super clean before you apply the "glass"! :D
