Maybe he could get it appraised for $40K?

Not my style, but probably worth the $5K-$6K asking price if it is mechanically sound.

:iagree:

as long as theres no major rust. most of the mods can easily be put back to normal. the steering wheel would be the least of my worries.

A lot to pay for a motor.Everything else looks like Mexican to me.I would keep looking and let some body else have that one.Im sure there is a pimp without a car somewhere.

I wish we had an emoticon of a guy in a boat trolling for fish. I'm not biting blckslvr. You'll have to troll elsewhere.

Unless he likes it. It's a good price if the frame and birdcage are sound. It's not a lot of money for it at all if you like how it looks.

All joking aside - money wise it looks like a good deal.

Well i did like it, but i changed my mind and found a Red on Red C4, got a really good deal on it, but thanks everyone for all the suggestions.

Well Thats a shame, I wanted to see how much you could spend on the steering column alone.

This car has been posted on here before. Wait, so it's got custom seats but still has the woodgrain. Yeah that really is 70s Superfly style. If you like it and it is mechanically sound I'd go for it. I do like the hood more than a Daytona hood. The wheels definitely need to go, but that could actually net you some money.

wgarneau 08-30-2011 04:12 PM

I'd get some white-fur covered rims for it.

The wheels on the outside are way too big, the wheel on the inside is way too small.

Be aware that C3's don't have much headroom with the tops on. You're likely to crush the feather in your hat.

Its a sad day when I see that someone has done this to a car we all love. But from a cost standpoint its probably worth 6k. I wouldn't buy it because it would cost too much to return it to stock. But hey, to each his own. If its worth 6k to you then buy it.

Tim H 09-03-2011 11:32 AM

All vettes don't have to be stock.
I would be more worried about how much crap is done wrong on the car.
You know the exhaust is wire tied to every suspension part they could get near.
The car is a pile of junk, you can fix a car up tastefully or you can junk a car up as thru this example.

So what does a Mexican car look like exactly :toetap:
