Recommed a tuner for the SCT handheld system.

There was a tuner here that up until very recently offered tunes for our LS3 Corvettes using the SCT X3. I liked the idea of storing both my stock tune and the power tune on my own handheld.

So I purchased a SCT X3 Power Flash General Motors Programmer with no preloaded tunes, and contacted the tuner, who agreeded to write the tune. He took my cc info and promised the file. For reasons we don't need to discuss in this thread, they have ceased all handheld tunes at this time, and I've been left without any option. I need a tune ASAP as my downstream H02's are throwing codes and it's time for the license renewal.

I'm asking for some recommendations for tuners that can work with the SCT programmer system and can write standard "boilerplate" tunes for the LS3 Corvette.

Thanks!

A Google search does not return results for a racing/auto business by that name Jennette.

I called SCT for dealer information, and they recommended Torq tuning.
In remembering Torq is a vendor here, I gave Paul a call. I was satisfied with his knowlege, and the fact he will include two tunes, for 91 & 93 octane.
I will report on my results in a couple of days.

Ask for Ted.
He has done numerous e mail tunes for me.

Wow, Jannetty Racing is a far jump from the "Jennette" that the second poster wrote. No wonder a Google search turned up zip on that name!

The correct link for Janetty showed up 12 hours after I made a deal with Torq. And I also note that Janetty touts their Ford and Dodge tuning prowless foremost on their SCT page. http://jannettyracing.com/jrescttuning.shtml I am underwhelmed that there is no direct mention of GM tuning with the SCT programmer.

Sorry you're "underwhelmed".
The man has a fantastic reputation on the Camaro5 forum.
The tune he did in my Maggie equipped Camaro is dead nuts on.
You asked for a recommendation and 2 people responded, 1 a respected shop here on the CF and myself, who personally has had Ted tune no less than 8 cars for myself and friends, 7 of which were GMs. Both of us recommended Ted.
Hope you're happy with the results from Torq.

Using the SCT do you also include an A6 tune?

Yes, of course. If you have an automatic our tunes take care of TCM and ECM

If I already have a SCT scanner how much for a cam tune? I have an ECS tune for the current mods I have but will be doing a small cam soon. What would you need to get the tune dead on? Thanks.

You can purchase tune files directly from our website:

Corvette Custom Tuning - SCT Tune Files

There may be some additional charges if the setup requires extensive datalogging and remote tuning

What can you offer Edelbrock E-force installed users

I have the E-force 1591kit with LG Superpros 1 7/8 headers

Kit came with SCT Tuner no ability to mod A6 tune

Looking for some way I can install/remove engine and transmission tune

So HPTuners and SCT with remote tune seems the way to go

We offer mail order tunes for engine and trans with all forms of forced induction. Additional logging is required and we always suggest taking it to a dyno to verify everything.

We can use the SCT if that is your choice

Is the SCT tuner that comes with the e-force kit be modified so that you can do a A6 as well as engine tune? when you install the edelbrock tune, it says unable to modify Auto tune

Custom tuning using the SCT tuner

I just got off the phone with TorqHQ and they said that they are working on a custom tune for guys that have the e-force. We will be able to download their engine and A6 tune using our SCT tuner. It will probably be done in Oct since they are finalizing it now. So stay tune for their updates.
