If you go too far forget the soft top. These are the tires I am running, although the fronts are now 18". http://images34.fotki.com/v1126/phot...eeSmall-vi.jpg My car.... http://images45.fotki.com/v1424/phot...6aLarge-vi.jpg |

Sorry, no good pictures (did It before digital cameras), but the red blown car is mini tubed. 315/35/17s in the rear. I only went as big as needed. The top and gas tank still work.

Just saw one done on TV
I just watched an episode of Overhauling this past weekend and they did a 57 Corvette and tubbed the rear for large Foose rims. Maybe you can catch it on line or a replay and get some ideas for your project. I was trying to explain to my 6 year old son that it is impossible to restore a Corvette in 1 hour. He can't understand why it's taken me so many years. :smash:

I have a 62 with a soft top. How much were you able to cut on the inside without getting rid of the convertible? I just want some more tire! Please post pics when done.
Great work! |
