1954 Corvair Prototype
Removed my pics after finding out some info.. sorry guys

Pretty cool, I wonder if they put a super large gas tank in it since they won't be needing the space for the soft top...
|
I think you guessed right about him knowing his stuff.
I do believe you were talking with Vette Daddy. Can't believe you missed his post on building the tops. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c1-a...ct-begins.html http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c1s-...our-specs.html |

I talked to this guy (first pic bright red shirt) for a bit. |
I heard him (red shirt) tell some folks that this was actually a GM prototype car that they were rebuilding. Couple more pics:

I looked the car over VERY well
It is a late(r) 54 car.... Press molded with late 54 body mounts... |
Actually it's an early 54 !

This is possibly the second one that he has done, if I remember correctly he posted a couple years ago that he completed a seafoam green one like this.
He also owns or did own a 53 serial #29. |
I don't care if it's THE prototype, or a 54, it's very cool.....ME LIKEY!
Thanks for posting all the pics. It would have been a winner to me. |
