Waiting to join a group for a "Spirited Run".
This is the only pic I have of a C5 with a decent background. Mine is the red 94 behind the vert.
That was a great day. :yesnod:

Great looking car! Did you cut out the front plate cover or can you buy those? If not how did you make the mods of the cover?

JETZ 11-28-2011 01:18 AM

Thanks for the kudos! :thumbs::thumbs:

I bought the cover from WWC.
Mask off the back side of the cover to the size of 'window' you need, and spray. When masking, make the corners to mimic the outside shape of the cover itself, not square.

I had it painted at a body shop to get the right match, or else it will stick out.

Frank

Thanks, I see the clear covers at WCC for $22 will place order tomorrow. You painted the inside and not the outside of the plate?
Thanks, Terry

JETZ 11-28-2011 08:09 PM

Yes, paint the back (inside) of the clear cover!

The hood cut out with the supercharger is one of the best looks that I have seen in a long time.:woohoo:

It reminds me of the older muscle cars with chargers poping out out of the hoods.

Hello all, new to the forum and a happy new C5 owner. Just bought a millinium yellow 01 coupe with just 49k on it. I'ts pretty much stock all the way save for some Nitto 555 tires. While I'll probably leave the engine and drive train alone, (350 hp is plenty for Wichita Kansas and a daily driver and i'd probably just scare myself with more), there are some minor asthetic mods I wouldn't mind making as time and finances allow. Right now the rear spoiler on this car is making my mouth water. I've looked through the on line parts sites and haven't found one quite like it, (similar but it appears to swoop less into the fender and looks more narrow). Can you tell me how to come by one like this and will it fit the unaltered rear end of my non Z06?

billmiller8 02-20-2012 03:55 PM

Gotta love that MSG.

bumr 02-20-2012 04:09 PM

I believe that is a Caravaggio rear spoiler on the yellow z.
