Corvette camping! I have a Jeep, but on my anniversary, I decided to take the Vette camping for the weekend. I managed to get all the stuff in the hatch, which limited how much I could take, which was a good thing. I recently fixed some oil leaks, changed my runners and injectors, and wanted to wring it out a little. Went to a KOA on a small lake in NE Washington. 24 MPG average on the display....outstanding as far as I am concerned. I have my 4+3 on full manual control, worked flawlessly for once. Very happy with the car right now.

I'm new to the forums so what better way than to share my ride! Here's some of my '94 Admiral Blue coupe. Now, before anyone says anything it's not a grand sport clone. I only added the trim because I love the way it looks! No fake badging or that stuff.
It has brand new everything lol... When I bought it back in February, it was not very clean. Nothing a little Meguiar's can't fix! I installed everything including the new weatherstrip, took the seats out and cleaned them, fully worked engine bay, new wheels, tires, painted brake calipers, fuel rail covers. You name it, I've done it! The engine is completely stock except for K&N air filter and I have added muffler eliminators. Try and guess how many miles she has! Since you didn't say you replaced the seat covers, that's a clue. My guess (based on little clues I see in the pics), is you're sitting around 70,000 miles. And, it's on it's 4th set of tires.
It just rolled over 133,500 today! (its driven almost every other day except for winter months/most of summer/rain/etc.) Not too bad huh? Thing runs like a beast. I can't even explain how good of shape this thing is in. I have been to a lot of shows and seen some c4's at about 20k-50k miles and in worse shape than mine. I believe if you take care of stuff it will last forever! :) |

I wouldn't worry too much about doing tribute to the GS paint scheme. After all, paint and stick-on fender flairs and badging is all that separates the standard 96 manual trans C4 from the GS, much as they hate to admit it. In fact I was talking with someone who owns a GS (#455) and I told him I would like to someday buy a ZR-1 and paint it like a GS to have the best of both worlds! Haha. That LT-5 is a monster of an engine, especially for it's time. |

I got lucky, I know someone who does professional vinyl so I had him make my stripes custom! It turned out to be about 1/2 the price of the kit from Eckler's. If you'll notice my rear and front license plate cover "corvette" letters are not white like they are on a GS, I also had the rear stripes stop before the license plate so it's different as well. It is 3M vinyl, I wouldn't reccomend any other brand tbh. |

I just did 2,066 miles road trip in 6 days. Went back to The Sequoia National Park, re-drove CA-Hwy 36, took PCH from Leggett to San Francisco, lost my week old new Sony DSC-HX9 after I took pictures from the Golden Gate Bridge, drove south on the US-101 and back home. Betty Boop has done a great job, 15,000 miles in less than five months. :D You NoCal and Central California stay tuned for this spring. You NoCal guys keep saying "its too far" well, Im taking the run to you. It is being plan as I write. The rumor is that there is a Lone Star Vette coming along.
