C4 heater core replacement

I am trying to replace the heater core on my 85. Have dash out and able to pull out bottom of cover. Can't get top screws of cover off. Any suggestions appreciated. This is a real "bear".

You could have left the upper dash installed.
You just need to remove them by "feel" since they cannot be seen easily. Leave those upper 2 screws out after you get ready to button it up....it will not cause a problem.
Did my heater core and it took about ~10 hours (9 of those seemed like they were spent messing with those 2 upper screws)to get the job totally done...not hard...just takes time.

If you get a couple of these Flex 1/4" extentions in different sizes it will make the job a lot easier. Trust me on this...:yesnod:..WW

This is a great set to have....

Thanks for the tip. You make it seem common sense, which is a good thing.
