hai friend

Years back I had this problem with my EEC-IV 5.0 and with the tuning software I was able to lean it out a % during decel. I can't remember the exact PID # though off the top of my head, all I can think about is guns, machetes, and spoons

What?... i cant wait to get an exhaust that does that like my 11 SS I put the NPP on. It sounds better than my vette.

You Sexy Thing - Hot Chocolate

The first I drove Margaret test driving, the popping was quite evident at the first real deceleration. It was the first time she spoke to me and I found it erotic.

When I bought my 11 gs I loved that sound. Now that I've added a super charger all I get is a real, real loud BANG, I could do with out that

Turn off DFCO Deceleration Fuel Cutoff.

If you really want to stop it, or even reduce it, you can do so by adjusting the "Idle Adaptive Spark Control" > In gear Underspeed and Overspeed tables. It was driving me crazy when I had PRT mufflers on the car.

If you want the pop gone, any good tuner worth his fee can tune it out for you. DFCO is only there to keep your Cats cool. without it, you will burn them up pretty quick.

I for one, enjoy the popping, but there are others who believe the Z06 should be the pinnacle of American Supercar technology and compose itself as refined. not brutish.

If you don't care about your warranty, get it tuned out.

^^^this^^^ 100% correct. If you don't like it...get it tuned out. simple as that. doesn't matter what exhaust is on the car.

Given that this thread 5 years old...who knows, he just might have bought one by now.

This thread should have been titled "how do you INCREASE the "exhaust popping" on deceleration?".

Yeah my '13 427 pops like a mofo after adding AR headers, high flow cat and x-pipe system, custom tune and it sounds AWESOME!! Wouldn't have it any other way. Especially decelerating in second gear you get alot of "thumbs up"!

I have Longtubes, BB Fusion, and Mild to Wild switch on my Z06. Man the burbles and pops sound amazing. Can't fathom how you don't like it but I guess to each their own.

Stavesacre21 04-06-2016 07:16 PM

Get rid of it? Wait...what
