Will the Mcleod work with LS7 flywheel? Sold the LS2 that was going to be swapped into my frc and upgrading to a 427. need something to hold 525-55rwhp. Was looking for a textralia oz700, but would be happy with a mcleod rst/rxt.

I have an extra LS7 flywheel, Would the mcleod work with it if i had it resurfaced? whats the balancing option?

I also have the stock ls1 flywheel thats still in the car as well, im assuming that would work fine with a resurface?

It will not work with an LS7 flywheel, you have to use an LS1/LS6 style flywheel. The balancing option balances the clutch and flywheel together, which is recommended. We always recommend a new flywheel. If you choose to re-surface the flywheel, it will need to be minimal (under .015") and you'll need to check the stack height as it can affect the clutch geometry.

Thanks
Seth

If your goal is 800RWHP is the RST good for that all day long or should you go for the RXT? Can the the RST be rebuilt into a RXT of be upgraded for more power? Finally what are the difference between the 2 other then the horspower rating. Does the metallic shift better or smoother or faster? I'm sure this will answer a lot of questions for people and I am really interested.

Thank you,

Mark G.

I would recommend the RXT for that power level. The difference between the two is the RXT uses metallic lined clutch discs and the RST uses organic. The organic disc is going to be the smoothest and longer lasting of the two, but the metallic disc will support more power and hard launches at the track.

Thanks
