Barn/Garage Find photos of 69 I just bought

Here are a few photos of a 69 Corvette I just bought. The pictures will show it is as pretty close to a barn find or garage find as you can get. Unfortunately, I was not along when this car was retrieved, but the person who found it took plenty of pictures. When I first saw the car, it had been washed, but that was all.

Unfortunately, the original 427/400 is gone. Still has the original 4spd, and all the other BB features. It is a highly optioned car having pw, pb, ps, A/C, am/fm/stereo, speed warning speedometer, and factory alarm system. It also has a luggage rack and side pipes. Burgandy with saddle leather interior. Second owner owned it for 40 years. Last driven in 1979, and still has the tags on it from that year, and I have the matching registration card. Also have the "subsequent owner" p-o-p with the second owner data. Frame and birdcage are fine.

Thanks! All in all, it is not bad. Body is in good condition, been repainted once long ago. The interior is good, just needing cleaning up, new carpet, and a few small items.

YOu should put up some of the pictures of it now that its all cleaned up.

Well, it is just washed, and not really cleaned up all that much, but I will add a picture of how it looks now.

Nice! Looks like some critters were dancing on it for a few decades. Make sure you get the right nose emblem on there too! Good luck and congrats! Get some new pics up!

Now you have a project! If it was stored under that house for all that time, it probably stayed dry, which is the most important storage issue. I think you may be in for more work than you think, but it looks like a nice car to begin with. I am glad someone is going to put some love into that car after being neglected for all those years. Feel free to contact me if I can be of help!

Here are a couple of pictures I took today, now that it is in my garage and cleaned up a bit more.

I forgot to mention it has tilt/tele also. Check out the old B F Goodrich tires, they have periods after the B and F. It has been a long time since I have seen that!

Did you get the original big block hood with it?

Unfortunately, no. The previous owner sold that hood when he bought the L88 hood. Then, he proceeded to cut a triangular hole in the underside so it would fit the tri-power air cleaner. Fortunately, he kept the firberglass piece he cut from the underside of the L88 hood, so it can eaisly be repaired.

Thanks! The bottom sections of the garage door fell apart when they tried to open it.

The other project is a 1970. I bought it several years ago with the front end wrecked. Picked up a good used front clip at Carlisle. It is now bonded on and just waiting for Spring so I can finish the body work. It is a NOM 4spd car, originally Corvette Bronze with black interior.

Thanks!! I think it was a lucky find. Just not sure what I am going to do with it, as I already have a 70 project as you can see in the pictures. May have to pass the 69 on to someone else.
