1st choice is Black w/ Black coves, tan guts, tan top, blackwall tires. (like dahogan's post)
2nd choice silver w/ silver coves, red guts, black top, blackwall tires |
Though I don't think it was available from the factory, I also like '56-'62 C1s with the hardtop painted to match the color of contrasting coves. Like a red one with white coves and top. Or a black one with silver. Copper or green with beige.
For the dog-dish on steel wheel "racer" look, you have to decide if the steel wheels look better matching the body or the cove and hardtop. You would see racers back in the day with diffferent wheels on the front and rear axles, somebody brave could paint the front wheels cove color and the rears body color. Probably too "circusy" for most! Two-toning emphasizes that the hardtop can come off, you've got two cars in one. |

I googled Deutsch-Bonnet and it showed a emblem that looked like that sign. The 57 race programs show that those cars raced in H modified class with Crosleys Fiats etc. Must have been a small motor.

Yes I thought the DB was the co founder of Aston Martin David Brown but the Logo looks like a stand alone brand. I remembered that uneventful french company ! I'd be pulling that sign off the wall and replacing it with a C1 Corvette sign LOL. :leaving: Stewy
