Borg Warner transmission serial number decode

My trans has the following numbers on the side of the case and I'd like to them decoded and find out what year and what application this came from. (Did it come from a Corvette?)

This trans came out of my 76 C3;

Borg Warner

WM1952
W=Warner
M= December
19=19th day
5= Year 1965-1975-1985 etc.
2=2nd Shift

The second Number probably has some portion of the Vin Code in it. I'd guess that a very late 1975 built Trans probably is corect for what ever Your body build date is.

Thanks Gale, the engine is also a 1975 and my guess is someone pulled the entire engine/trans pack from a 75 and installed it in my 76 (??) The vin does not match the engine block and the 76 was originally an automatic trans car converted to a 4 speed. Starting to make sense now. Thanks again.
