Need Paint shop in St.Louis area.

I have an 03' EB Z06 that needs the front bumper color matched.

Thanks!

Not sure if you guys still need it, but Shurway has been around awhile and is family run. I haven't had them do any work, but did meet with them about my pewter 99 this summer.

I had Schaefer Autobody in O' Fallon work on a grand Prix a couple of years ago and was very happy with the work and price.

X2 in Maryville IL - good independent shop that doesn't just live on insurance claims. The owner is also a Viper and Ford GT freak so by nature he is pretty meticulous. Also has great equipment.

St Louis to Charlotte NC. That would be one heck of a drive. I am sure that there HAS to be someone out there that takes pride in getting a color to match. Hope you find one...BUT if not....

Sadly, most want to blend instead of butt match.:( My thought is why would you take the wrong color further in (blend)on the car. Elite Customs and Standox Paint are working together to try and come up with a butt match.

It is not that you are taking the wrong color out further... Because "they" would have already shot test panels and tinted the color very close...but rather you are "tricking" your eye in not picking up a very slight color difference.

Butt-matching a color is do-able... because I have done it. But by the time all the smoke clears...the job would have turned out just as awesome and in less time if I had blended it. And that is taking into account the other panels that would need to be blended into and cleared.

I hope you come to a conclusion on this matter that satisfies you when completed. For me...it always boils down to looking at the car from about 50-100 feet away...under different types of light and angles to make sure that the color is perfect.
