Ed the dots are mid 2008s, about the same as you would get from tirerack 08 or 09s.

No, they do not stick out past the fenders. They sit right at the edge and they give the car a much more aggressive stance from behind.

We usually recommend the 245 40 17s with the 315 30 18s but the 255s should be fine as they are .5 inches shorter in diamerter than the 315s so you wont have the active handling or traction control nannies kicking on. The red vette picture above your post is running the 245/315 combo for referrence. We can do $625.00 shipped on the Michelin 315s. You can pick up the 255s at tirerack.com for $273.00 per tire.
