Oh and for all of you guys, I allreay bought a set from George last year and the quality and fit is absolutely great. I had lots of play (rings were completely disintegrated and now my seats are rock steady for over a year and 10.000 miles without issues. :thumbs:

If you are referring to the cut corners on the top of the spacer that when mounted, no. But this is Something I can easily incorporate into future kits. Just a few extra second per kit with the sanding station.

I didn't find "sanding" the discs that hard. Took very little time (couple minutes per disc) and they fit very nice and snug after sanding. I understand you're selling a product more specifically designed to save time during installation, but I simply used the method you had a link to. I'm sorry if i stepped on your toes.

Hi all, got an interesting question:

1. A couple years ago I had a 2000 FRC with manual seats that had some "rocking/creaking" in the seat, maybe a 1/4 inch of play or so. Didn't bother me much.

2. I now picked up a 1998 Coupe with the power, memory seats, and the seats SLIDE back/forth a good 2-3 inches on braking/acceleration, almost like they can't keep the set position.

Now, is the ROCKING seat problem & fix having to do with the first scenario or second??

use a belt sander
a couple of seconds a piece
and/or
sand before you cut to size ( what I would do )

just get the sheet the right thickness
drill 8 holes and cut to size
I could whip out all 8 in under 5 minutes after a trip to tap plastics.....

but I'm too lazy to bother.......:D

I installed a similar kit today. With air tools it took less than three hours total time and the rock solid feel of the seat again is worth the price! But now I've found cracks in the other plastic parts that are part of the mechanism to raise and lower the seat... who sells replacements?
