RPO Z16 vs. FE3 or FE4
 

What is the difference between the suspensions in the Z16 vs FE3 or FE4 suspension RPOs?

I have a 2010 Grand Sport with an Z16 Performance Package (standard). But cant figure out which suspension it includes.

FE1 is the base C6 suspension

FE2 is the F55

FE3 is the Z51

FE4 is the Z06

FE5 is the ZR1


So.....I don't know what suspension comes with the Z16 package, but I suspect it's the FE3 or possibly the FE4.

However.....just go out to your glove compartment and take a look at the sticker on the door - it has all the RPO codes built into your car, and I believe that even if it lists Z16 that it will probably also have FE3 (or whatever suspension you have) listed in the list.

FE3, Z16 and Z51 are all listed on the RPO sticker.

Well, sort of. We went through this in a couple threads last month. This is what we determined based on a member who modded his base C6 to GS specs with the help of Gene Culley advising on the GS part numbers: :)

The Grand Sport suspension is:

......Z51 springs and front sway bar
......Z06 rear sway bar (this kind of makes sense)
......Z06 front shocks
......UNIQUE rear shocks

Shock Dyno for 2010 GS
 

Anyone know where I can get shock dyno or comparison data for the "unique" 2010 GS rear shocks.

Curious why the GS does not use Z06 rear shocks?

Also the Helms calls out a difference in camber settings between FE03 and FE04.

FE03 (F/R) .45/.45 degrees
FE04 (F/R) .95/1.2 degrees

All else is the same.

So why should I not set my GS to FE04 alignment specs?
