no change, problem remains
found the liquid electrical tape, applied it to the door connectors, especially around the clear serial wire that had pulled back and was exposed, and let them dry then put all back together. No change at all. Still showing in the DIC " service vehicle soon "
any other things I could check ??? |
Next to the BCM,,,to the LEFT of it, there are TWO thin grey connectors. Those are the serial data STAR connectors. Find the connector that has FOUR wires. Pull the TOP of that connector and see if your issue goes away. That connector removes the serial data circuits from the LDCM, RDCM and the seat control module.

with the weather here last night I was unable to work on the car last night. But... new symptom has arose. ABS is activating and going nuts. When I depress the brakes it feels like for sure the back brakes maybe more so the passenger side is clamping down! It even does it some when driving where it causes the tire to skid!!!!! When I had the brake pedal depressed it felt like the ABS was activating and causing a vibration through the pedal. Talk about scary! I limped her home last night and parked her. I am driving the old chevy truck today. Man I wish I had my Stingray finished... I would just drive it until I get this thing with the C5 figured out!!! Any ideas? Need to pull the codes again. I don't think I should try to drive it until this is all worked out.

You have one or more of the following things going on:
- Alignment Issue. Is your steering wheel off center left or right when your going straight? - Steering Wheel Position Sensor issue: The SWPS is going bad or giving out false outputs due to misalignment - The EBTCM is going bad Dont even bother sending it out for repair. Read and post your DTCs BC |

Thanks again for all the help so far and hopefully I can get this fixed. Till then I am not driving it b/c of the brakes kinda locking up on me and all. Sully |

figured that's what those were when I went digging into that area. What does STAR stand for? The top one was the one with four wires and the bottom had many more than that. It was held by a simple metal clip onto a metal flange. I didn't do anything with it. Will tug on it tonight when I get home from work and get the kids down to bed. Thanks again for the pics!
