Too each there own, many of you older people on here probably put flared fenders on your vettes when you had them in the 60s, this is really no different!

A poor decision by GM to increase the track by using fender flares, an even poorer decision by whoever makes these flares. Reminds me of some of the aftermarket C3 fenders.

Datsun (Nissan) had a better way of doing it when they went from the 280Z to the 280ZX, they widened the fenders completely, instead of just adding a flare to the existing part.

I don't know about it being a poor decision, since it is a popular mod and part and parcel as to GM's decision to include flares on the GS.

That said, I personally like the look of the base coupe as much any of the Z models or the GS. Now the WIDE, WIDE look:nono:

What's the name of those wheels? They are officially on my "to buy" list. How in the world do they clear brakes?

360 Forged Mesh Concave; however, we have a special setup on this car... because of the custom +1.5" wide(r) body... we are able to use a 20x10.5" up front with a 4" lip, utilizing the deeper (rear) concave forging. The rears are 20x13".

I believe the Z06/ZR1 are ideal when it comes to tire/fender aesthetics.

What I really did not like when I seen it in person was the Grand Sport convertible. :ack: Sorry, don't want to hate, but the car looked really out of place with those wide fenders, big rear tires, shark gills, and then a small top area.

It looked like a guy with a small head and large body. It just did not look right.

JK XLR8 08-17-2010 01:41 PM

Too funny

I hear ya, I dont think he ever put a kit on a GS convert...I could be wrong?
