So you can't just can't put on "a generic carb that needs tuning", yet you suggest people buy a 6210 and not adjust it?

Or does the Holley not constitute a generic carb, because there's nothing on the Holley website that says it's specifically for 350 SBC, that makes it generic in my book. Maybe you could tell us some 'generic' carb brands? Or maybe you're suggesting a tweaked Holley, in which case what make and where?

Maybe you could tell me where "the holley catalog is full of application specfic carbs", cos I can't find it.

All it says is the 6210 is 'Designed as a emissions legal performance replacement for Q-jet on certain GM applications'. Not for a specific engine size, CR, cam, exhaust or even a chassis and year!:rolleyes:

4.11 NO OD what mpg can i get w/EFI? Engine details in profile.
Todays test w/ 4165-6210 stock jetting in primary, 19 mpg.

So i spent an hour checking it, and found it needed 2 degrees more base timing.
The guy that said a timing computer is needed was RIGHT ON! My motor wants 9* more at idle, but i have no easy way to reduce it at cruise, as it will surge then.
Remember guys, i'm not claiming 19 mpg is unusual for a good tune! Golden, do u have a 4.11, NO OD?
When i had a 3.36 i got 3 mpg more. That would be 22. And with 2* more, we should be close! :cheers:
The re-tune used 0.25 gal. That's $0.69 for regular at 2.75/gal. Golden, u use 87 octane? And we both don't expect a significant mpg increase with efi? :party:

I don't know what FD I have and that's on 95 fuel, oh and no overdrive.
