That I tried. I used rubber band attached to an alligator clip biting the corner of end of flap. Did not work: Flap wrinkled in mid section and I was getting flapping noise of a different sort.

Thanks!

2 other solutions no one mentioned.

1) Flip the shade around so the flap is in the rear. I mean, what is it really hiding?

2) Remove the shade altogether. How often do most of you actually have something in your hatch that you need covered/concealed? I found I never did, so now it sits in my cubby hole.

I kept thinking every time it made any noise, what is it hiding, the black carpet in the hatch? Why do I need that hidden? And its in my cubby hole in case I do put something back there that I want to cover up (with the flap in the rear of course).
