Do they make 28 inch slicks for 17 inch rim?

The 26 inch ET Streets I have now just aren't holding in 2nd gear. I was hoping to go up to 27 or 28s on my 17 inch rims, is that possible? Can 16 inch rims fit on the Z51? I have a 2007 Z51 6 sp man ECS supercharger running 15psi, water/meth injection etc. I'm getting ok 60 fts like 1.68 but 2nd gear is just spinning right through....any advice?

M/T doesn't, they have only one 17 inch DOT legal (or otherwise) slick and it's the one listed as 26" (it's actually closer to 26.5").
You might have to go drag radial to get the height you're looking for.

No, not without serious modification and/or a custom made set of CCWs/Bogarts etc.

How much air do you have in them? The sidewall should wringle even in second gear with the right amount of air pressure. Your limited to 17'' tires, the only 17''x27'' or 28'' are drag radials.

I'm running between 12-13 psi

put more air in them, and shift faster, it sounds like the suspension is unloading on the shift because the nose is dropping, try rolling into the throttle after the shift until the front comes up, let Doug try driving it maybe its just driver error:thumbs:

I've never used M&H Tires but they list some 28" tall, x 17 tires:

Ever thought about running some QA1 drag shocks up front, they would help keep the nose up and keep traction. I never ran ET Streets below 14-15 cold, because if I had to run them at like 11 cold I felt that I had to work on other aspects of the car tractionwise.

But those you listed from M&H are drag radials...maybe I'll just have to go with new shocks up front, how expensive are the QA1s?
