Dragvette 6-link

Hi new to this forum been posting on DC. Thought I posted this question earlier today but cant find it now. I am looking at the Dragvette 6-link set up and was wondering if anyone here has installed one and what they thought of it. Oh sorry I have an 80 and about 425hp. Can you hook up with it, is it easier on the diff. Any before and after 60' time slips would help out also. All I get is massive wheel spin off the line. I have a 3000 stall and get spin if I launch 1500rpm. The faster my car gets the slower my 60' time gets. Im running BFG t/a now 255/60-15. Best I can get now is 60' 2.3 sec. 1/4 mile 14.20s at 99mph.

I have the setup under my car. I have not run it at the strip yet but with the old setup the best I did was a 1.99 60 foot time. It actually feels on the street like it hooks better but your biggest problem is the tire you are running. You will never get it to hook up on street radials. You need at least drag radials or slicks for 60 foot times in the 1.5 to 1.7 range. I don't know if it is any easier on the diff but it is supposed to keep the tire from cambering to much when the rear squats. Therefore it keeps the contact patch better. Here is a few old photos. I have since gone to a longer spring so the bolt angle is not so severe. Also running a dual mount spring as you can see.

The only reason I havent gone with drag radials yet is because ive been told the alum. diff. can only handle about 400hp. Steve at dragvette says with the 6-link it should handle 500-550 hp. Then I would go with a drag radial. I'd be happy with 1.8-1.9 60' times(for now).
