Has always been 100% stock. Went to the dealership about a month ago to have it aligned (it was off a tiny amount).

I just drove it from Harrisburg to Dover (and back) for the Nascar race on Sunday and got 24mpg for some 4 lane and 2 lane driving!!!

thanks for the nice comments.

Luckily I am not in an deperation situation, although with some of the offers I have gotten via PM you would think so. :D

ukester 09-25-2008 08:58 AM

The market along with vette prices sucks if you want to sell...

Tact 09-25-2008 09:04 AM

Stay firm on your price. IMHO, you've priced this to sell immediately.

You're not lying. It really makes it hard for anyone with a comparable 2006 or 2007 to ask the same or more for their 2/3 year old 2LZ.

Love the car. Here's a bump! :flag:

msp282 09-25-2008 10:54 AM

thanks guys. I felt the same way. seems like 2006 and 2007 cars with similar miles are priced close... so my car is the way to go. :)

This was the deal I was looking for about a month ago. Since then have signed up on buying two houses so I need to keep my money wher it is for now.
Great Deal, don't take any low ballers!!

I see some CRAZY HIGH prices on here and I always want to jump in and tell the person that they should really look around and see what their cars are going for - even right here on this site! But we aren't allowed to do that...

I can only assume it is from people who are basing the price on what they have paid for, or owe on, the car - not market price.

So... it is nice to see a car that is absolutely priced reasonably. I wouldn't blame anyone for trying to negotiate a few dollars here or there, but anyone PM'ing you with numbers way off of what you are offering is off base. This car is right on target. You are getting close to what it would wholesale for in my estimation.

ChrisEVO 09-25-2008 02:06 PM

+1 (from a buyer). Good luck with your sale.

They are probably low balling you because they have read your previous posts about what you paid for the car and they figure you have some wiggle room left. Great car...best of luck with the sale!

MYZED06_EH 09-25-2008 09:54 PM

Would $55,700.00 take it?????:willy::willy:

Keep in mind he paid $3,342 in sales tax on the car...

So yeah, he is trying to break about even - but still not like he is trying to turn a ridiculous profit. And also not like he is unreasonably high on his price.

I suspect SOMEONE will see this as a deal.

A NEW 2008 2LZ from a dealer is probably going to run $64k + tax for most people, and that is low-end internet informed buyer price.

If I could have found a low-mileage Silver/black 2008 in the 58's close by, I probably would have spent the extra 3k or so for an 2008 over my 2007.

judgeman6970 09-26-2008 04:38 PM

although im not trying to sell a vette, i know what u mean about ridiculous, low-ball offers....EBay is even worse!!..i get offers of 1/2, or even 1/3 of my asking price!!!...u got a gorgeous Z, so if u can wait, hold out for an actual "serious buyer"..Good luck!!

msp282 09-26-2008 04:54 PM

thanks for the posts!!!

Hopefully someone in the market realizes that my price is pretty fair!. :)

PM's replied to. :)

bad2000z 09-28-2008 11:23 AM

This is a great deal for someone! If you still have it in the spring I might have to come down and take a look.

Nick 02 Z06 09-28-2008 08:53 PM

This car is priced right and if I were looking for red, it would be sold. Good luck with the sale.

msp282 09-29-2008 02:18 PM

The alignment is perfect. I took the pics with my wheels turned...

I agree. Don't move on the price unless you "have to"

I've only seen one other '08 Z for less about 6 weeks ago. It was a VY 2LZ with NAV, but comp grey wheels. Had 4200 miles on it. Started at 60K, then dropped it straight to 56,500, sold in a day. Think he really needed the moola bad, underpriced it to unload it.

Best of luck!

msp282 09-30-2008 08:44 PM

there was some initial interest but it has dropped off. I may throw it on Ebay for the $57,995 and see what happens. :)

Thanks for the nice post! I keep thinking my price is pretty good.

Your price is excellent. A for sale thread like this separates the buyers from the dreamers. NO ONE should complain about price on this one. You'd be wise to put it on ebay. The forum is typically one of the worst places to sell a vette.

here's a bump for you

msp282 10-01-2008 04:13 PM

not sure if I am allowed to put a link to ebay on here or not. it is for sale in both places now. :)

A Big Hello from Forest Hill, Maryland

I love your Vette, it is a great deal. Wish I were in the market for a Z. Good luck with your sale.

msp282 10-04-2008 07:49 AM

this car is still for sale.... :)

yanniz 10-04-2008 10:23 AM

great looking car, ttt for you and good luck with your sale...

not a good environment to sell, unless if you find a cash buyer, but as you said you are not desperate to sell so that is good...

why are you selling?

msp282 10-06-2008 08:58 AM

I race a S2000 in Honda Challenge and am hoping to switch to Spec Miata for 2009 but no one wants my S2000. I am out of garage space and need to save a few $ to go towards the Miata. :)

And my Trailblazer SS is really fast enough for street driving. The Z06 is insane!!!

But you have to factor interest unless a buyer is paying cash. There are dealers offering "O"% loans. You don't get that on a used car.
