If you get the thermostat in the future you'll want to use your Predator to lower the temps that your cooling fans kick on to get full benefit from the new thermostat. Hope that answers your question. Thanks!! |

Sorry about the wait... we weren't on the forum much over the weekend and we came back to a very busy day yesterday. Just saw your post and no you do not NEED the 160 degree thermostat for anything, but we recommend the thermostat regardless of other mods. These LSx motors can get heat soaked pretty badly and anything that can be done to keep the coolant/engine/engine bay temps down should be done in our opinion.

Thanks!! btw received the Halltech/Beehive part of my order today and it was missing the hood seal :( pm'd MS and shortly thereafter Branden replied he would look into it a couple of hours later i get a call on my cell from Jim Hall the owner of Halltech he said he would send one soon. tomorrow the Predator is to be delivered so far so good. thanks to Maryland Speed for all your help. |
Is there any reason why the Halltech Venom for the 2005 isn't offered? Or is the Vararam a better intake?

update: received the hood seal, well done. i had some problems with the Predator install because of my poor computer skillz that ended up being my fault (needed update) but after a couple of e-mails and a phone call from Branden i got it going. then to add to my day i only got to drive it for a couple of miles before the rain came. :( car seems fine idles well and drives like stock. Maryland Speed gets the bosco seal of approval for cost, speed of delivery and customer service will use them again when the time comes. thank you
